Lambton Public Health is reaching out to residents who recently travelled with Blu Light Taxi.
The health unit said four drivers have tested positive for COVID-19.
Supervisor of Health Protection Lori Lucas said they're advising people to get tested.
“If you travelled with Blu Light Taxi from Sunday, March 21 to Thursday, April 8 and your trip was greater than 15 minutes please get tested at a public assessment centre as soon as possible,” said Lucas in a news release.
Lambton Public Health is working with the company to collect information about its passengers on the days in question, however not all contact information is readily available.
“It is difficult to trace close contacts of these individuals because of the nature of the taxi-cab industry, and we know these drivers would have been in a confined space with members of the public while operating their vehicles,” said Lucas. “These reasons make it imperative we release these details, so we can instruct the public to get tested at their earliest convenience."
Appointments for COVID-19 tests can be booked through Lambton Public Health's website.
