Outstanding warrant

On Saturday morning, an officer attended a business on Lacroix Street in Chatham where a 28 year-old man was refusing to leave.

The man was found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with his probation order.

He was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and was later released with a future court date.

Bail violation

On Saturday afternoon, an officer in Ridgetown located a man in the area of Victoria Road. An investigation found that the man was failing to comply with his probation order.

The 47 year-old man was arrested for two counts of failing to comply with his probation order.

He was taken to police headquarters for booking and held for bail.

Break and enter

A man is facing break and enter charges after police responded to a suspicious person complaint in Wallaceburg Saturday afternoon.

Police located a man inside a vacant residence in the Cameron Street area and arrested him for break and enter.

The 31 year-old was taken to police headquarters for booking and later released with a future court date.

Traffic enforcement

On Saturday afternoon, police conducted traffic enforcement throughout the Municipality.

As a result, 19 tickets were issued in relation to Highway Traffic offences and two roadsides were administered.

Domestic dispute leads to arrest

On Saturday night, police responded to a home in the area of Zone Centre Line in Bothwell for a possible domestic dispute.

Following an investigation, a 47 year-old male was arrested for assault, mischief and forcible confinement.

He was transported to the police headquarters for booking and held for bail.

Man charged with drug-related offences

A 49 year-old man is facing charges after a traffic stop. Early Sunday morning, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Baxter Street in Chatham.

The driver was found to be suspended.

Police then conducted a search and found that the man was in possession of methamphetamines, cocaine, fentanyl, LSD, and $4,000 in cash.

He was arrested for possession with the purpose of trafficking, taken to police headquarters for booking and held for bail.
