Starting Monday, March 15, anyone aged 80 and up, including those born in 1941 or earlier will be able to make appointments online for a COVID-19 vaccine.
Bookings can be made online or by phone using the toll-free number 1-888-999-6488 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Those looking to book do not need a doctor, but must be in the 80 or older age category. The system will automatically decline anyone who does not meet eligibility requirements.
The Grey Bruce Public Health Unit said the number of clinics is based on vaccine supply. The three Hockey Hub mass immunization centres and other small community-based clinics will be available to book appointments based on availability. As larger shipments of the vaccine arrive, more sites will be added to the booking system.
The Health Unit reminded residents not call public health or their healthcare provides to book an appointment.
