Chatham man allegedly tries to fight
A 22-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after he allegedly threatened someone through a text message and almost ran them over.
Police said a 22-year-old went to a person's home Monday night after sending a text, drove up on the curb and allegedly almost hit the victim.
After the victim ran inside, police said the 22-year-old honked his horn and texted the person to "come back out and fight." The victim went back outside and the two argued.
Police said the 22-year-old was in possession of a hunting knife but officers arrived before the situation turned physical.
The 22-year-old was arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, being in possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and uttering threats.

Charges laid in Chatham disturbance
Two people have been arrested after police were called about a domestic disturbance in Chatham.
Police said a 52-year-old man who had been ordered to not communicate with a 39-year-old woman allegedly went to her home on Monday.
He was charged with two counts of failing to comply with his release conditions.
Police said the 39-year-old woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. She has a future court date scheduled for March 30.
