Suspicious vehicle leads to arrest
What started with a call about a vehicle in Ridgetown ended with a man facing charges.
Early Friday morning, police responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint on Spence Line.
Police located the vehicle and pulled it over. Through investigation, the officer learned that the vehicle was stolen. The driver of the vehicle was also found failing to comply with his probation order.
The 31-year-old man was arrested and charged with being in possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, failing to comply with his release conditions and possession of a prohibited weapon.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Mischief charge
A man has a future court date after an incident in Chatham.
Around 11 p.m. Friday, police responded to an alarm complaint. Through investigation, police learned that the front window in the entryway of the property was damaged. Officers located the man at the scene and he was arrested.
The 28-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with one count of mischief. He was later released with a future court date.
