Potential COVID-19 exposure at south Windsor PetSmart

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has identified another potential COVID-19 transmission site.

The health unit announced Wednesday evening that the site is the PetSmart store on Legacy Drive in Windsor, off Walker Road. The date of exposure is Saturday, February 20 between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Like all the exposure alerts currently in place, this one is low-risk. However, anyone who visited the store during that date and time is asked to self-monitor for 14 days from Saturday. If you have symptoms, stay home and contact your health care provider for further instructions.

There are currently six potential exposure sites in Windsor-Essex. Complete information on all the exposure points can be found on the health unit's official website.
