Petrolia woman hospitalized after crash near Blenheim

A 32-year-old Petrolia woman is in critical but stable condition at a Windsor hospital after a serious single-vehicle crash in Chatham-Kent late last week.

Chatham-Kent police said they were called to the scene on Talbot Trail near Lagoon Road just outside of Blenheim just before midnight Friday.

Police said their investigation so far shows that the woman was driving on Talbot Trail when she lost control of her vehicle, which then left the roadway, hit several trees and ended up in a ditch just west of Lagoon road.

Officers said the woman was the only person inside the vehicle at the time.

She was taken to the hospital in Chatham first with life-threatening injuries, then transferred to Windsor where she is still receiving treatment.

The crash is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Dan Carroll at [email protected] or 519-355-1092.
