Health officials in Windsor-Essex logged 60 additional COVID-19 cases and three deaths related to the virus on Saturday.
The latest deaths were all women, two in their 70s from the general community and a 90-year-old woman from a long-term care home.
To date, 355 people have passed away in the region from the virus.
The new cases bring the overall regional case count to 12,530. Currently, 288 cases are active.
The transmission source of a majority of the newest cases is still being investigated. Fifteen cases are outbreak-related, seven are close contacts of confirmed cases and six are community-acquired.
Meanwhile, 32 more people recovered from the virus in the region over the past 24 hours. A total of 11,887 of the cases in Windsor-Essex are listed as being resolved.
There are currently seven long-term care or retirement homes and eight workplaces in COVID-19 outbreak. There is also two community outbreaks. The outbreak at 8 West of Windsor Regional Hospital's Ouellette campus was declared over on Saturday.
Elsewhere, provincial health officials reported 1,300 additional cases on Saturday. The case count in Ontario now sits at 284,887
