Trio of break and enters

Police are asking the public to come forward with any information they may have about a few recent break and enters in Chatham-Kent.

Sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning, an unknown suspect or suspects forced their way into an apartment building on Fifth Street in Chatham.

Once inside, around $1,500 worth of tools were stolen.

Elsewhere during the same time frame, two residences on Erie Shore Drive were broken into.

The suspects got away with a pair of televisions and several bottles of alcohol.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Traffic stop leads to arrest

A woman will have to answer to charges after getting pulled over in Blenheim.

It happened on Saturday night. Police checks revealed that the woman who was driving was bound by a court order to be in her residence by 10 p.m.

The 26-year-old from Chatham was arrested and taken to police headquarters. She has been held in custody for a bail hearing.
