Just a handful of new COVID-19 cases in Midwestern Ontario Tuesday

There were just a handful of new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Midwestern Ontario Tuesday, and no new deaths were reported.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added just one new case of COVID-19 to the confirmed list Tuesday, in Hanover. Two people are hospitalized, and one of them is intubated. There are 22 active cases. There are no outbreaks.

The Huron Perth Public health reported just two new cases of COVID-19  , down from 36 new cases Monday. Five people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. There are 122 active cases. Outbreaks continue at Caressant Care in North Perth, and Seaforth Manor, along with the Stratford Hospital Surgical Unit.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health officials reported another 42 cases Tuesday, but just one of those was in Wellington County. There are 104 active cases in Wellington and four people are in hospital with COVID-19 in Wellington.   There are 11 outbreaks in Long Term Care and Retirement homes, including Carresant Care in Arthur, and Wellington Terrace in Fergus.
