Puppy reported stolen in Chatham
Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips after a puppy was snatched from a vehicle on McIntosh Avenue in Chatham over the weekend.
Police said the 8-week-old brindle bull dog named 'Soldier' was taken sometime late Sunday afternoon.

Woman charged in connection with multiple thefts
A 36-year-old woman who was wanted in connection with several local shoplifting incidents has been arrested and charged now.
Chatham-Kent police said she allegedly stole some cologne and candy worth about $70 from the Shoppers Drug Mart on Queen Street in Chatham Monday afternoon along with a Keurig coffee maker worth $128 from the Real Canadian Superstore.
Officers were able to identify the woman with the help of video surveillance and arrested her Monday night in connection with the case.
While they were investigating, police also learned that she was wanted in connection with a previous shoplifting incident last week along with failing to attend court.
She was charged accordingly and taken into custody pending a bail hearing.

Man accused of going out past his curfew
A 28-year-old Chatham man who was supposed to stay inside between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. every day is in more trouble with the law now after officers allegedly spotted him out on a late night stroll.
Police said the curfew was one of the conditions imposed on the man when he was released from the court back on December 10, 2020.
Officers said they arrested him again after they saw him walking on Richmond Street in Chatham at around 10:30 p.m. Monday.
He was charged and later released with conditions and a future court date.
