CK Community Health Centres gets an upgraded ride

A new van will make operations a lot easier for The Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres.

With financial support from Farm Credit Canada, the organization recently purchased an accessible van.

Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres (CKCHC) provide several outreach services to vulnerable populations throughout Chatham-Kent including home safety assessments, home exercise programs and health education for chronic disease management.

The van will allow program staff to bring these services directly to clients' homes. When transportation is a barrier to receiving care, the van will also be used for clients who lack access to other transportation options.

“We are grateful for the support from Farm Credit Canada coupled with a previous donation towards a mobile unit from a generous donor which has allowed us to replace the aging van and continue to provide many important services throughout our community,” said CKCHC Executive Director Sherri Saunders.
