New COVID-19 cases confirmed in Midwestern Ontario

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Midwestern Ontario was lower on Tuesday compared to Monday.

Huron Perth Public Health reported 21 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the past 24 hrs. There are 107 active cases. Two people are in hospital. 441 people are currently in isolation. One new cases was confirmed in Huron East, two in North Huron and 15 in South Huron. Two new cases were added in North Perth, one in Perth East, and one new case in Stratford. A new outbreak has been declared at Seaforth manor in Huron East after one staffer tested positive. There are now four long term care home outbreaks, and two retirement home outbreaks.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported four new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed over the past 24 hours, two in Owen Sound, one in West Grey and one in Hanover. There are 43 active cases and 10 Active Probable Cases. 135 High Risk Contacts associated with active cases. Sepoy Manor in Lucknow continues to battle an outbreak.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public health added 76 new cases Tuesday, and reported 434 active cases, along with 8 hospitalizations. There were just two new cases confirmed in Wellington County, for a total of 73 active cases, and two hospitalizations.
