COVID-19 cases confirmed at two London high schools

Cases of COVID-19 were identified at two London high schools on Thursday.

The Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) reported single cases of the virus at London Central Secondary School and London South Collegiate Institute.

The schools are currently closed for the winter break.

Parents, guardians, and staff at both schools have been notified and the Middlesex-London Health Unit is working to identify close contacts of the infected individuals.

“If you are not contacted by the health unit, your child is not considered to be at risk. The health unit will only contact those staff and students who have been identified as a close contact and will advise them to stay home from school and quarantine for a period of 14 days,” the school board said in a statement.

There are currently 43 active cases within TVDSB schools. More information can be found here.
