Cocaine, steroids seized during drug bust
A 40-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman have been arrested and charged after police searched a home on St. Michael Avenue in Chatham on Thursday.
Chatham-Kent police said members of the CKPS Drug and Intelligence Section executed the search warrant and found more than $80,000 worth of cocaine along with about $10,000 in anabolic steroids.
Police said they arrested two people in connection with the case and charged them both with possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance.
They were both later released with a future court date.

Firearms, illegal drugs seized during search
In a second drug bust on Thursday, Chatham-Kent police allegedly seized about $60,000 worth of cocaine, psilocybin (magic mushrooms), LSD, and MDMA (ecstasy) while they were searching a home on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.
Police said they also seized several firearms, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, and $11,200 in cash.
Officers said a 22-year-old Chatham man was arrested in connection with that search and now faces "numerous charges". He was also later released with a future court date.

E-bike stolen by stealthy criminal
Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they try to track down a lime green e-bike that was reported stolen from a garage on King Street East in Chatham.
Police said it was taken sometime since Monday, December 7.
The e-bike is described as a lime green 2016 Stealth model and is valued at approximately $1,800.
