Suspected crystal meth seized

A 21-year-old woman arrested on an outstanding warrant on Wednesday is now facing additional charges after she was allegedly found with several baggies of suspected crystal methamphetamine.

The 21-year-old was arrested in Chatham around 1:20 a.m. Police said she was searched at police headquarters, during which time officers found suspected crystal methamphetamine.

She was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Warrants executed

Police arrested a 22-year-old man wanted in connection to a break-in and theft investigation. He was found in Wallaceburg on Tuesday afternoon.

A 49-year-old man wanted on an outstanding warrant for allegedly breaching his probation order was arrested on Tuesday and later released with a future court date.

Chatham-Kent police said a 41-year-old man was arrested in Chatham on a bench warrant. He was taken to police headquarters and released with a future court date.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service is highlighting another person in uniform as part of the "We Are You" initiative.

Details about Inspector Mike Domony are being shared this week. He is an avid motorcycle rider. He started his policing career in Toronto and moved to Chatham-Kent in 1998 with his wife and daughter.
