COVID-19 cases increase in region on Monday

Huron Perth Public Health reported 51 active cases of COVID-19 Monday, as 16 new cases were added to the list. Six were located in North Perth, three in Perth East, four in Stratford, and one each in Bluewater, North Huron, and Goderich.

There is an outbreak at Seaforth Long Term Care Home with one positive staff member

The outbreak continues at Cedarcroft Place Retirement Residence in Stratford where 60 residents, and 24 staff tested positive. Five residents  still have active cases and are in hospital along with one community member. Three staff members have active infections.

The outbreak is over at Livingstone Manor in North Perth.

There is also an outbreak at the Medicine Unit at Stratford General Hospital, where the number of staff infected is now six.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added four new cases of COVID-19 to the list Monday, with 28 active and six probable cases. One person is in hospital.  There are 198 high risk contacts associated with active cases.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit declared the outbreak at Golden Dawn Long Term Care in Lion's Head over.

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health reported eight new cases over the weekend and the total active case count is 26.  There are ten active cases in Minto, two in Wellington North and seven in Mapleton Township.
