The Greater Essex County District School Board has confirmed another case of coronavirus.
The board reported Wednesday evening that the person who tested positive for COVID-19 is a student at LaSalle Public School, but the student's grade has not been disclosed.
Parents of students who may have had contact with the infected student have been notified and have been asked to follow instructions provided by the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit.
LaSalle Public School is open as usual for all other students and staff.
According to the latest figures reported on the board's official website, a total of 66 cases have been reported throughout the board's buildings so far. The majority of them come from Begley Public School in Windsor, where 35 students and eight staff members have tested positive, resulting in an indefinite closure of the school.
