COVID cases rise in region, new colour code levels

Local regions are moving into a higher level of COVID-19 restrictions under the province's colour code.

Huron-Perth is moving to Orange - Restrict on Monday. Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph is also under orange.

Grey-Bruce moves to Yellow - Protect.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported five new cases in the region on Sunday, one each in Saugeen Shores, Kincardine, Arran-Elderslie, Hanover and Blue Mountains.

There are 53 active cases along with eight probable cases.

And one of the biggest concerns from the health unit, contact tracing.

Dr. Ian Arra, the MOH for Grey and Bruce, writes that with the number of active cases they have determined 284 high-risk contacts which takes a tremendous amount of effort to manage.
