13 additional COVID-19 cases in London-Middlesex, one new death

Another COVID-19 related death is being reported in the London-area.

The death, along with 13 new cases of the virus, was reported on Saturday afternoon by the Middlesex London Health Unit.

The latest person to pass away was a 69-year-old man who was not associated with a long-term care home or retirement home.

The total number of people who have died due to the virus in the region now sits at 63. Meanwhile, the total number of cases in the London-area is now at 1,211. Of those cases, 1,066 are listed as being recovered.

Elsewhere, Ontario set a new daily record for COVID-19 infections on Saturday. The province recorded 1,132 additional cases, bringing the caseload to 82,825.
