Two break-and-enters in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police are investigating afer someone broke into a home on Joseph Street in Chatham sometime overnight. The homeowner reported the thief took pry bars, bolt cutters, and head laps.

In a separate break-and-enter around 10 p.m. on Thursday, unknown suspects entered a storage unit on Richmond Street in Chatham. Police are not certain what was taken.

Anyone with information about either crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Impaired man faces mischief charges

A 22-year-old Chatham man faces a mischief charge after police responded to a complaint on Taylor Avenue in Chatham Friday afternoon.

During the investigation, police learned the man was under the influence of illicit drugs and allegedly caused a disturbance.

Once he was cleared medically at the hospital, he was arrested.

He faces a future court date.

Stolen pick-up truck recovered Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police have recovered a stolen pick-up truck after they got a report it was stolen from a resident living on Cedar Hedge Line in Wallaceburg on Friday night.

The vehicle was located Saturday morning and returned.

Police are still investigating the incident.
