Local COVID-19 cases up Monday

The Grey Bruce Public Health Unit reported one new case of COVID-19 Monday, located in Meaford.

That's in addition to a couple of new cases reported late Sunday, one located in Owen Sound and the other in Huron-Kinloss.

There are six active cases in the region. A long term care home outbreak continues in Thornbury. One person is in hospital.

There are four active cases of COVID-19 in Huron Perth, following positive test results released Monday.

One case is in Goderich, and one in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.

Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Miriam Klassen, said two new cases in North Perth are known contacts of a positive patient who was already isolating at home.

The two cases that were active last week are resolved, and there are no outbreaks in schools, long term care homes or daycare centres.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added another active case in Wellington Monday, for a total of seven active cases in Wellington County.
