COVID-19 assessment centre to open in Harriston

A COVID-19 assessment centre is expected to open in Harriston in October.

The centre will be located at the old train station on Arthur Street.

Officials are looking for employees to staff the new centre, with both full-time and part-time positions being available for nurse practitioners, registered nurses, registered practical nurses and registration clerks.

A centre in Fergus, that is also looking for employees, has been very busy since an assessment centre in Mount Forest closed on August 28, with wait times surpassing three hours.
