Driver suffers serious injuries in weekend rollover crash

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a single-vehicle crash south of Chatham that sent a 20-year-old Raleigh Township man to the hospital with serious injuries on Saturday.

Police said emergency crews were called to the scene at around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at A.D. Shadd Road, south of Eleventh Line.

Officers said their preliminary investigation showed that the driver lost control of his truck and went off the road, rolling several times before the vehicle stopped in a nearby ditch.

The 20-year-old man who was behind the wheel at the time of the crash was rushed to the hospital in Chatham and then transferred to Windsor for further treatment.
