Chatham-Kent police are searching for a man following a home invasion just outside of Thamesville.
Police said two men wearing disguises and armed with a firearm and a canister of pepper spray entered the home Sunday morning and assaulted the homeowner.
Property damage inside the house is estimated at $500 and the suspects left with four watches valued at $1,200. Investigators said all three men know each other and the home invasion was not a random act of violence. The homeowner was treated at the scene by paramedics.
Police arrested a suspect in Wallaceburg Sunday night. Police sad he allegedly had what's believed to be fentanyl on him.
A 34-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with break and enter while committing robbery, wearing a disguise with intent, assault with a weapon, administering a noxious substance, mischief under $5,000, and drug possession. He is in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police continue to look for the second man involved in the home invasion.
