Bail violation

A man is in trouble with the law after a traffic stop on Saturday morning.

During the stop, officers conducted a check on one of the men inside the car, which revealed that he was on house arrest.

The 35-year-old Highgate man was arrested and taken to police headquarters where he was held for bail.

Pair of warrant arrests 

Chatham-Kent police were able to catch two people who were wanted on warrants.

On Friday, a 24-year-old Port Lambton man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for breaching his release conditions.

He was taken to the police station and held for bail. The man was also wanted on an OPP warrant.

Elsewhere, officers spotted a man on Friday riding his bike who was known to have a warrant out for his arrest.

The 38-year-old Chatham man was stopped, arrested and taken to police headquarters.

He was eventually released with a future court date.
