Highgate crash results in life-threatening injuries

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a single-vehicle crash on Orford Road just outside of Highgate that sent one person to the hospital.

Police said the vehicle went off the road at around 4 p.m. Thursday and hit a tree.

The driver was taken to the hospital in Chatham with what are now considered life-threatening injuries.

The traffic unit has taken over the investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Dan Carroll at dancar@chatham-kent.ca or 519-436-6600 ext. 87298.
