Local COVID-19 caseload up one

Lambton Public Health is reporting one new case of COVID-19 in Sarnia-Lambton.

The local health agency said the number of confirmed cases is up to 339, while resolved cases are unchanged at 311, leaving three active cases in the community.

The death toll stands at 25.

The health unit said 40 per cent of the confirmed cases locally have been a close contact of a case, while 35 per cent have been linked to an outbreak.

Bluewater Health reported on its website Monday that there are no patients confirmed to have the virus in hospital.

There are 19 patients, including pre-surgical screenings, awaiting test results.
