Man under driving ban stopped in Chatham
A man who was previously banned from driving is in more trouble with police now after they allegedly spotted him behind the wheel in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police said they stopped the vehicle on Princess Street South at around 3 p.m. on Monday because it didn't have any license plates attached to it.
The officer who pulled the man over learned that he was banned from driving on a Canada-wide conviction of dangerous driving. He was also suspended from driving for remedial and unpaid fines in Ontario.
As a result, the man's vehicle was taken away and is set to be impounded for 45 days. The accused was arrested and later released with a future court date.
