UPDATE: Health units remain vigilant in COVID-19 tracking

Active cases of COVID-19 in Huron and Perth continue to decline after spiking over a week ago.

The number of active cases is down to 21 after reaching as high as 29 at one point. A number of those cases are related to an investigation that led to closure of food market locations in Bayfield and Hensall back on August 14.

The MOH for Huron and Perth, Dr. Miriam Klassen was also featured in a video put together for back to school and shared by the Huron Perth Catholic District School Board.

In Grey and Bruce, the number of active cases stayed at zero for another day but health unit officials are not resting. Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra continues to hold virtual Town Hall meetings with the latest updates.

In Wellington County, the COVID-19 case count held at three with another update expected later Friday morning.
