Number of COVID-19 cases decline in some areas

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is reporting no active COVID-19 cases in its region as of late Tuesday afternoon.

Of the 127 cases to date, 121 have recovered and six were referred to other health units. The Grey Bruce Health Unit has also not recorded any deaths related to COVID-19 since the pandemic began.

But officials are urging the public to continue to be vigilant and aware with a number of updated resources available through the health unit's website.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit has also reinforced a checklist for parents that can be found on its website. It includes some questions and illustrations to help screen for possible COVID-19 symptoms.

In Huron and Perth, active cases in the area sit at 27. That's down from 29 on Monday.

One case recovered while another was transferred to another health unit.

And the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health is reporting another active case in Wellington County bringing its total to two. The rest of the 17 cases are in Guelph and Dufferin.
