Man arrested for skipping out on DNA date
Chatham-Kent police had to hunt down a 25-year-old man after he allegedly skipped out on an appointment at the courthouse to provide a sample of his DNA.
Police said the man was sentenced and released on July 9 with an order to attend the courthouse the next day to provide a DNA sample for police.
Officers said he didn't show up for that, so when they found him in the area of Harvey Street and Raleigh Street in Chatham Thursday morning, they arrested him.
The accused was charged with failing to comply with a court order and later released pending a future court date -- police did manage to secure a DNA sample before they released him, though.

Police said they found the man walking on Gray Street in Chatham Thursday night, so they arrested him.
