Chatham man threatens daughter's boyfriend with knife
A 56-year-old Chatham man is facing a handful of charges after he allegedly threatened his daughter's boyfriend and dog while holding a tactical knife.
Police said they made the arrest after getting a disturbance call at a residence in Chatham Wednesday afternoon.
Officers said their investigation showed that the man had threatened his daughter's boyfriend in the same manner on Tuesday.
The man was arrested and charged with three counts of uttering threats and two counts of failing to comply with his release conditions because he wasn't supposed to have any weapons.
He was taken into custody pending a bail hearing.

No charges for man who approached girl in Thamesville
Chatham-Kent police have caught up with a 26-year-old man who allegedly tried to lure a girl into his car in Thamesville last month.
Offficers said they were able to identify the man and his vehicle through "the power of social media and investigative techniques."
Police said officers spoke to the Thamesville man about his actions, adding that no criminal charges will be laid.

Man charged with fraud after using stolen debit card
A 36-year-old man is in trouble with the law after he allegedly stole a debit card from a parked vehicle in Dresden last month and then used the card multiple times at a gas station in Chatham that same day.
Police said they were able to identify a suspect and arrested him early Thursday morning.
The accused has been charged with being in possession of property obtained by a crime, fraud, failing to comply with his release conditions, and three counts of breach of probation.
He was set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Hunting boat reported stolen
Chatham-Kent police are on the hunt for an aluminum boat that was stolen from a property on St. Clair Road sometime over the past week.
Police said the 16-foot beige hunting boat had a 25 HP black Mercury engine on it.
The boat is pictured below with the leaf cover on it, but officers said it was last seen on a white trailer with the leaf cover removed.

Careless driving blamed for Tilbury crash
A 39-year-old Chatham man is charged with careless driving in connection with a two-vehicle crash in Tilbury.
Police said the collision took place on Middle Line near Ella Street and caused an estimated $60,000 in damage.
No injuries were reported.
