Recovered COVID cases up three

The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Sarnia-Lambton has dropped to nine.

Lambton Public Health is reporting three more resolved cases in the last 24 hours for a total of 293.

The number of confirmed cases is unchanged at 327 and the death toll stands at 25.

Four of the active cases are linked to a COVID-19 outbreak at an unnamed workplace. The health unit said the outbreak was originally reported as five cases, but after further investigation, it was determined that one case was in fact not part of the outbreak.

Lambton Public Health said the specific business will only be named if a threat to the public exists.

Bluewater Health reported on its website Wednesday that there are no positive patients in hospital and 24 are awaiting test results, including pre-surgical screening.
