COVID recoveries up six, no deaths in two months

The number of active cases of COVID-19 has dropped locally.

Lambton Public Health is reporting six recoveries in the last 24 hours for a total of 277.

The number of confirmed cases is unchanged at 319 with 17 active. The death toll stands at 25, unchanged in two months.

It's been over a month since there was an institutional outbreak in Sarnia-Lambton, the last one was declared over on July 2.

The health unit said to date 18,845 test results have been received, 98.3 per cent of which have been negative for the virus.

In its daily report on Friday, Bluewater Health said there are currently no patients in hospital with the virus. There were 21 patients awaiting test results including pre-surgical screening.
