Minor collision leads to threats
A 25-year-old man is facing assault-related charges after a minor collision turned into a heated argument.
Police said two people were involved in a minor collision in Chatham on Thursday. The 25-year-old approached the other person involved when a "verbal dispute" started.
It's alleged the 25-year-old then brandished a knife towards the person while making threats.
He was charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats. The 25-year-old has been released from police custody with a court date set for August 25.

Man accused of trafficking Fentanyl
A 38-year-old man accused of possessing Fentanyl for trafficking purposes will have to answer to multiple charges during a court date on September 3.
Police said members of the Intelligence and Critical Incident Response Units searched a residence on Raleigh Street in Chatham on Thursday.
During the search, officers seized Fentanyl, scales, Canadian currency, and ammunition.
The 38-year-old was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in Fentanyl, and two counts of breaching a prohibition order.

Wallaceburg man accused of shoplifting
A 29-year-old Wallaceburg man is facing charges after he allegedly stole from a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
Police said the 29-year-old took merchandise without making any attempt to pay for it.
He was charged with theft under $5,000, possession under $5,000, and failing to comply. He has a court date set for September 16.

Stolen items recovered
Chatham-Kent police are investigating a break-in in Ridgetown.
The break-in happened at a business on Main Street East sometime overnight between July 29 and July 30. Several tools and a UTV vehicle were reported stolen but were later found.
