Kincardine launches website to hold virtual open house for Heritage Conservation District Plan

The Municipality of Kincardine has a new website running to hold a virtual open house for their Heritage Conservation District Plan.

Since public meetings are not being held due to COVID-19, the municipality felt it was necessary to give residents a virtual way to review the plan. Kincardine initiated a Heritage Conservation District (HCD) Study in 2019, and in March of this year, council voted to move forward with the plan.

The purpose of the plan is to prepare policies and guidelines to manage change by designating the area in question under Part 5 of the Ontario Heritage Act. Residents are encouraged to complete an online survey by August 1st to give feedback on the plan.

The survey and all open house material can be found at https://www.kincardine.ca/en/play-and-explore/heritage-conservation-district.aspx#
