Local COVID-19 caseload inches higher

Two more cases of COVID-19 are being reported in the community.

Lambton Public Health said the number of confirmed cases has increased to 292, for a total of seven active cases. That's up from just two active cases less than a week ago. 

The number of resolved cases stands at 260 while the death toll remains at 25.

The health unit says nearly 15,500 test results have come back and 98.1 per cent have been negative for COVID-19.

In its daily update Monday, Bluewater Health reported that there are no patients currently in hospital with the virus. The hospital said there are 21 patients suspected of having the virus with test results pending.
