UPDATE: Police looking for suspicious Volkswagen in Thamesville

Chatham-Kent police are looking for a suspicious man who tried to lure a girl into his car in Thamesville over the weekend.

Investigators said an unknown man approached a teenage girl in Thamesville on Saturday afternoon around 1 p.m. and tried to convince her to get into his vehicle. The girl refused and the man drove away.

The man is described as white, in his 30s with brown hair and was clean-shaven. He was wearing a green shirt and jeans.

He was last seen driving northbound towards Dresden in a white four-door Volkswagen sedan with rust near the bottom of the wheel area. The man also had a large, white fluffy dog with brown spots in the backseat. No license plate was obtained.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the vehicle (below) that was in the area at the time of the incident.
