Stage 3 opening result of reliable communities

The MPP for Huron-Bruce says moving to a Stage 3 opening is a direct result of how residents and businesses in the region have been responsible and reliable.

Lisa Thompson says the government's plan to move to Stage 3 on Friday follows the province's reopening framework with public health and workplace safety measures and restrictions in place. But she adds communities can't let up and need to continue the policies that are in place.

Ontario will increase gathering limits to a maximum of 50 people for indoor events and up to 100 people for outdoor events. Gathering limits are subject to physical distancing requirements.

However there are some areas that will stay closed including amusement parks and water parks, buffet-style food services, saunas, and overnight stays at camps for children and prolonged or deliberate contact while playing sports.
