ATV rollover sends youth to the hospital

A youth has been taken to a hospital in London with non-life-threatening injuries after an ATV rolled into a ditch in Thamesville.

Chatham-Kent police said the youth lost control of the ATV while turning on Monday night around 8:30 p.m.

The young person was first taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and then transferred to a hospital in London.

Damage is estimated at $1,000. -----

Suspicious person call leads to arrest

A call about a suspicious person and a break-in turned out to be one and the same on Monday night.

Police said officers were called about a "suspicious female" on Victoria Avenue in Chatham. At which time, officers were also called about a break-in on Forest Street.

It's alleged the suspicious female was the person involved in the break-in.

She was arrested and charged with theft, possession under $5,000, and break and enter. She was held in police custody for a bail hearing on Tuesday.

ATV stolen on Whitebread Line

Chatham-Kent police are on the lookout for a green 2018 Honda 450 ATV.

The ATV was reported stolen after someone broke into a barn on Whitebread Line in Wallaceburg, sometime overnight.

Tools stolen in Chatham

An investigation into some mischief on Sass Road in Chatham is ongoing.

Police said the window of a work vehicle was smashed sometime over the weekend. Several tools were reported stolen out of the vehicle.

Woman turns herself in

A Harwich Township woman wanted on an outstanding warrant has turned herself in.

Police said the woman went to the Chatham police station on Monday morning after failing to show up for her court date. She was arrested and later released with a future court date set for September 21.
