A 28-year-old man is dead after drowning in Lake Erie on Sunday.
OPP in Chatham-Kent and Essex Windsor EMS responded to reports of a possible drowning shortly after 4 p.m. near Wheatley Provincial Park
According to police, the man went into the lake and was underwater for approximately 10 minutes before being brought out of the lake where CPR was conducted.
He was transported to the hospital where he was ultimately pronounced dead.
The victim's identity will be released once his family is notified, police said.
