Chatham-Kent fire officials are investigating the cause of a blaze at a home on Edgar Street in Chatham.
Crews were called out to a structure fire at 161 Edgar St., around 9:25 a.m on Monday. They were met with heavy smoke coming from the home but were quick to put out the fire.
No injuries have been reported.
As of Monday afternoon, a fire investigator was still at the scene.
Fire officials initially said the damage estimate was $100,000. However, Chatham-Kent police later said on Tuesday, the total damage estimate is $350,000.
