Single new case of COVID-19 reported in London-area

It was another day of low COVID-19 numbers reported in London-Middlesex.

The Middlesex London Health Unit reported one new case of the virus on Saturday, bringing the total number of cases to 634.

This marks the third day in a row that just one person tested positive for the virus.

One more person previously diagnosed with the virus has since recovered, increasing the number of resolved cases to 561.

There remains no active outbreaks at area long-term care or retirement homes.

There have also been no new deaths reported in London and Middlesex County since June 12. The death toll stands at 57 as of Saturday.

Across Ontario, provincial health officials reported 130 new cases, which represents a 0.4 per cent increase over Friday’s figures.
