Workplace testing strategy enhanced

The Grey Bruce Health Unit has developed a strategy for COVID-19 testing in workplace settings.

In a release, they say the strategy involves a quote-"series of tests on asymptomatic staff in an attempt to determine rates of infections in a controlled environment".

The first corporate participants to be tested under this strategy will be Bruce Power.

Data gathered will be analyzed as a feasibility study.

Grey Bruce Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra says quote-"Testing is part of an overall strategy to monitor and contain the spread of COVID-19, and to optimize the response to the COVID-19 emergency".

Dr. Arra further notes that participation of staff at Bruce Power is voluntary, and employees will have the option of a single test, or multiple tests over the course of several days.
