Local COVID-19 caseload unchanged

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the community stands at two.

There's been no change to the local caseload since Tuesday according to Lambton Public Health.

The health unit says the number of confirmed cases is unchanged at 286 and 259 people have recovered.

The last related death was reported over a month ago and the death toll remains at 25.

On Thursday, Bluewater Health reported there are currently no patients in hospital who have tested positive for the virus, however, there are 9 suspected cases with test results pending.

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
