UPDATE: Power restored in Bothwell after collision

Power has been restored to hundreds of customers in Bothwell.

Early Monday afternoon, Entegrus reported that around 464 of its customers would be without power for the majority of the afternoon so that Hydro One could replace a pole that was severely damaged after a motor vehicle collision.

According to police, officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on Zone Centre Line on Monday morning.

The driver fled the scene after striking the hydro pole.

Power was restored to the community around 3:15 p.m.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information on it is asked to contact police.
