Perth County Chalk It Up Campaign underway

Perth County is encouraging residents and businesses to canvas the County with colourful messages of optimism and gratitude in a celebration of community resilience.

The Chalk It Up campaign encourages businesses to colour their storefront with sidewalk chalk to welcome back their clientele, express gratitude, and let residents know in a cheerful way that they are, or are preparing to be, open for business.

The team encourages residents to keep their eyes peeled for messages in chalk throughout the county, and also join in by sharing words of encouragement on their own driveways.

“It is our hope that the Chalk It Up campaign will provide a fun avenue for businesses to celebrate and give thanks, bringing life back into our downtowns. It has been a difficult few months, and we cannot thank our businesses enough for the resilience they have shown through all of the uncertainty,” explained Perth County Tourism Officer Ashley Brockelbank.

“We can’t wait to see our businesses and residents join together to chalk up our County with vibrant, positive messages,” said Brockelbank. “Grab your sidewalk chalk, and let’s Chalk It Up!”
