Kincardine opens some outdoor facilities

The Municipality of Kincardine will open its boat launches, the boardwalk (both sides), and any portion of the trail system that goes along the shore on Friday May 22, 2020.

Kincardine Council received clarification from the Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra about the original order that was made on May 15 to close all beaches.

In addition, the Kincardine Marina will be open only for members of the Kincardine Yacht Club.

All beaches, any structures on the beach, and piers will remain closed and that means no activity of any kind can take place. The order is in effect until it is rescinded.

The Municipality of Kincardine will also be reopening the following recreation amenities on Friday May 22, 2020, with the strict protocols set out to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.

 Kindog Off Leash Dog Park  Skatepark at the Davidson Centre  Tennis Courts  Outdoor walking track at the Davidson Centre  Benches, picnic areas and shelters  Baseball diamonds, soccer fields

Residents are reminded that the Provincial Order is still in place regarding any social gathering of more than five people. This restriction includes the usage of any recreational amenities.
