The United Way Perth-Huron is now accepting applications for the new Emergency Community Support Fund.
The fund is designed to support local charities and other qualified donors and organizations that have changed their front line services to support vulnerable Canadians during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ECSF is a federal fund that is administered in collaboration with United Way Centraide Canada, Community Foundations of Canada and the Canadian Red Cross. United Way Perth-Huron has a total of $407,232 to distribute to local organizations.

"Canadian charities and not for profits are always there to help you, in your time of need”, stated The Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, “But the COVID-19 pandemic is bringing real challenges to these important organizations. With today’s announcement, the Government of Canada will be there for them so they can continue to be there for Canadians.”

This funding will allow the United Way Perth-Huron to ensure the most critical needs in our region are being met”.
